Don’t be too disappointed in the final score as this game was 3-3 heading into the 4th quarter.  Kurt Warner started the game at QB and he was so-so completing 6 of 10 passes for 53 yards.  Matt Leinart followed Warner in this game and he completed 8 of 14 passes for 83 yards.  Brian St. Pierre who was supposed to battle Leinart for the #2 job might have a hard time holding off Tyler Palko for a roster spot after his performance in this game.  He completed 4 of 10 passes for 42 yards with a interception.  Tyler Palko finished up the game completing 8 of 15 passes for 103 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception.  He also carried the ball 1 time for 11 yards.  Tim Hightower and LaRod Stephens-Howling each had 24 yards rushing on six carries to lead the way for the Cardinals in this one.  Steve Breaston (52 yards) and WR Lance Long (48 yards) each caught 5 passes in this game to lead the way for the Cardinals.  WR Onrea Jones caught 2 passes for 43 yards (21.5 avg) and he scored the only TD in this game for the Cardinals.  Despite not scoring many points the Cardinals still finished this game with 329 yards of offense against the Steelers.

The defense played fairly well in this game until the scrubs came in (4th quarter).  CB Michael Adams, LB Karlos Dansby, LB Pago Togafau and DT Alan Branch each led the way for the Cardinals on defense with 5 tackles apiece.  The Cards held the Steelers to only 288 yards of offense and held their vaunted rushing attack to only 2.8 yards per carry.

The Cardinals had more bright spots in this game than bad ones despite the final score.
