The Cardinals have signed 26-year old DE Travis LaBoy to a 5-year, $22 million dollar contract.  LaBoy is undersized for an end at 6′3″, 260 pounds and he’s been a backup most of his career, but the Cardinals are paying him to start.  He played in 13 games last season for the Titans and he made 12 tackles, defensed 3 passes, sacked the QB 6 times, forced 4 fumbles and intercepted a pass.  He has now played in 54 games in his NFL career and he has made 105 tackles, defensed 5 passes, has 19.5 sacks, forced 5 fumbles and has one interception.  It will be interesting to see if this was a good move or not for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals have signed TE Jerame Tuman.  Tuman is part of the ex-Steelers pipeline to the Cardinals.  He is a solid run blocker but he’s not much help in the passing game.  Tuman played in 6 games last season for the Steelers and he only caught 1 pass for 9 yards but it was for a TD.  He has now played in 120 games in his NFL career and he has caught 43 passes for 500 yards (11.6 avg) with 7 TDs.
