Cardinals fall to Vikings 31-26
Denny Green came up with a perfect gameplan and almost beat his old team before just falling short. JJ Arrington started the game off great for the Cards when he returned the opening kick-off 99 yards for a TD!
Matt Leinart came out throwing the football and he was pretty successful. Leinart completed 31 of 51 passes for 405 yards with 1 TD and 2 INT. Edgerrin James wasn’t in the gameplan much against the stingy run defense of the Vikings, as he only had 4 carries for 15 yards (3.8 ypc). Larry Fitzgerald has a fantastic game with 11 receptions for 172 yards. Anquan Boldin also had a great game with 9 catches for 140 yards and a TD. Bryant Johnson pitched in with 4 receptions for 48 yards.
Adrian Wilson had a huge game on defense for the Cards. Wilson had 9 tackles and returned a Chester Taylor fumble 99 yards for a TD in the 4th quarter. Karlos Dansby also had a great game with 8 tackles and 2 sacks. The defense had trouble with the running game as the Vikings carried the ball 33 times for 157 yards (4.8 ypc). The Vikings also had little problem throwing the ball as they completed 27 of 41 passes for 255 net yards passing.
The Cards played hard, but it wasn’t enough as they fall to 2-9 on the season.
